Proform are one of the best-known brands in home fitness and have a formidable reputation for building quality home fitness machines that are loaded with features and have excellent specifications. They’ve got a large range of different treadmills on the market aimed at everyone from absolute beginners through to serious fitness devotees. On paper, as we’ve come to expect from Proform, the specs for their 1295i treadmill looked impressive so we got one in to take a closer look. Here’s what we found…
Assembly of the 1295i is similar to most other Proform treadmills. As we’ve come to expect, the instructions are nice clear and while the assembly process has quite a few steps and is a bit fiddly in places, it’s by no means a highly demanding task. All in all, it’s no more difficult than assembling most typical flat pack furniture. For a guide, it took us just over an hour to get it out of the box and complete the assembly. No surprises here and it all went together as expected without any hitches. Once built, before you start it’s recommended that you connect it to the internet, check for firmware updates and calibrate the incline. This is all straight-forward with clear instructions and doesn’t take long.
